Clean and service guest rooms of assigned area according to established procedures. Collect keys from guest rooms and place in box on attendant cart. Report room status on room attendant sheets. Maintain room attendant cart in an orderly and neat manner.. Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance. High school diploma or Equivalent preferred. 6 months previous cleaning experience required with preference given to hotel experience. Must have strong customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with independently and as part of a team. Must have strong time management skills and the ability to maintain an acceptable pace and quality of work. Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies. Ability to evaluate the quality of room cleanliness. Ability to identify circumstances or incidents that require the notification and/or approval of others. Knowledge of the standards for quality assurance and hotel cleanliness. Must have good hand/eye coordination for handling cleaning equipment and completing room cleaning tasks Ability to learn to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ability to learn predefined protocols for carrying out the cleaning tasks. Ability to follow verbal directions and carry out tasks in an independent, self-directed manner. Must be able to perform the physical essential functions of the job. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
